If your friend is single or has a partner who needs to work (or they are widowed) then getting to and from doctor or chemo visits can be challenging. 

Offer to accompany them. 

This may mean you just drop them off and wait, or it may mean you come to the appointment. 

You'll need to discuss what they require, but bring a paper and pen just in case. Because …
